It took Garry Gurke some 5 years – just to select the area where he wanted to develop his world-class lodge.
Once he came upon Nueltin Lake in a remote corner of Canada’s vast wilderness he knew he had found the place he would accomplish his dream.
Something in the land drew him to this place and made him want to stay. It wasn’t until decades later that he would discover the direct link between the land of the little sticks – and his own heritage.
Join us as we take a look back at the development of the most amazing wilderness lodge operation in Canada. Since before 1987 Nueltin has – and continues to be - a labor of love for the Gurke family and staff.
Clients from all over of the planet make the pilgrimage to this legendary place because of the amazing angling and wilderness experience on “Canada’s Original Catch and Release Lake”.

Hook and Learn - Continuing Medical/Dental Education Series
CME 1 - Physician's Resilience:
In conjunction with Travel Manitoba, the Office of Continuing Medical Education is please to offer 15 hours of continuing medical education to on physician resilience and wellness.
Physicians participate in 2.5-3 hours of learning per day in a web-conference. The format is a small group case-based learning format where physicians will discuss a clinical case and relevant management issues. Physicians will be supplied with a binder with learning materials and will have internet access at the lodge. Course is fully accredited.
This program will be of interest to:
Family physicians, specialists, nurses and other allied health professionals with an interest in improving the wellbeing of people working in the healthcare field.
